Hannon and Hughes team up with a two year old at their favourite track, which is almost a tip in itself. ANTICIPATED is going back down in trip, which should suit after a poor performance at six furlongs last time out, as that was over six I’m putting a line through it. The form line that interests me is the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. That day he was just headed into third inside the final half furlong, he also had Sleeper King and Justice Day in behind, I see no reason for them to be able to reverse that form. Ambiance was unable to beat Anticipated over six furlongs last time out so I can’t see why he’ll reverse that over five. This leaves Supplicant as the danger, he finished a short head second ahead of Anticipated at Ascot. However as this track has been profitable by following Hannon and Hughes two year olds over the years I want Anticipated on my side.

Aljamaaheer comes here with the Group One form from the Queen Anne at Ascot, however I don’t really think that form will stand up too much over time. There were a lot of horses in that race who weren’t Group One class and the favourite didn’t run his race. I wouldn’t want to be backing the favourite here when he’s conceding weight all round. Instead I’m going for solid Group Two performer with course and distance form. PRODUCER beat Ajamaaheer at Leicester back in April off level weights and I believe that form can be confirmed.
