The recent theme of backing horses early that then get backed, trade shorter in running, but get beaten continued yesterday. However today gives me the chance to recover those losses on a race I’ve been waiting six weeks for. I’m going down to Goodwood to hopefully see this bet win in front of me.

To me there is no point in over complicating this race . Dawn Approach is the best miler in the world! If he hadn’t of run in The Derby he would have beaten Toranado by further at Royal Ascot, the two weeks rushed preparation that he had before that race would not of helped. However he showed his class and still won. Deceleration of War won what I believe was a sub standard Queen Anne, therefore I cannot see him beating the front two in the market when giving weight away. The rest simply aren’t up to this level.
If Dawn Approach hadn’t of run in The Derby he’d be odds on for this, so I’m having my biggest bet of the week on at the odds against.
