I was expecting to see Robin Van Persie priced at around 2.10 to score in this match, however BetVictor have him priced at 2.38 which is way out of line. Van Persie scored in 21 of his 38 matched last season, he’s already scored two against Wigan and added another two against Swansea last weekend.
Like I said last weekend it doesn’t look like much has changed at United and it could be argued that they have improved as Danny Welbeck looks on the verge of having a big season. They more look solid defensively and look like they will have more goals in them. Chelsea seem to have gone the other way. Mourinho has brought his brand of 2-0 is enough, long-ball football back to England which is a shame as Chelsea have some excellent free-flowing footballers. Chelsea will concede a lot less this year but they won’t be scoring that many either. They have benefited from Hull and Villa both standing off them in the first half of matches so far, Manchester United won’t be doing this. Ashley Cole isn’t looking as solid as he has done in recent seasons and I think United will get some joy down that side, especially if Zaha plays as I can see them getting a penalty.
I’m expecting a home win tonight but at the odds for Van Persie to score that again has to be the bet.
