HOT SNAP was disappointing when 9th in the 1000 Guineas, that came after she’d beaten Sky Lantern by over two lengths in the Nell Gwyn. She had a break after The Guineas and came back at Glorious Goodwood when 3rd in the Nassau, she then looked to stay on over 10f last time out. I think this extra two furlongs could bring the best out of her.

DAWN APPROACH has the best form in the race over a mile, with the exception of when they took him to France last time. I didn’t think he should’ve run in that after a hard summer and he duly bombed out. However a 2000 Guineas win, a win at Royal Ascot in the St. James Palace Stakes and a 2nd to Toronado at Goodwood when sent on a long way from home all show that this horse has class. If he’s in the mood today then I think he’ll end his career on a high. We should get a strong pace, he’s unbeaten at Ascot from three starts and I was expecting 2/1 today.
