The Championship 19th October

Forest are going along nicely, currently sitting 4th in the league and on a six game unbeaten run. They are also turning The City Ground into a bit of a fortress, with four wins and a draw from their five games. They are also averaging two goals a game at home. This weekend Bournemouth are the visitors and they are always good for conceding a few goals. Two weekends ago they were 2-0 at home to Millwall inside 15 minutes, they did come back to win that match 5-2 but Forest won’t give them that opportunity. The Cherries have already 16 goals in their five away trips.

I don’t think Bournemouth will be able to keep it tight enough at the back to stop Forest putting three past them and if Forest score three they win the match. Bournemouth are good for a goal so I have this down as a 3-1, 4-1 sort of game. With the way I see it panning out I don’t see them not winning and therefore I’m happy to take them to cover -1 on the Asian Handicap.

Blackburn were my fancy for the title at the start of the season and they’re quietly going about their business. A lot of where they end up will be down to what happens with Jordan Rhodes in January, but they have him available for this match. The way Charlton are playing it’s difficult to see them coming away with much from this game. They’ve kept one clean sheet all season and that was last time out against a Blackpool side who struggle to create goal scoring opportunities. Charlton also haven’t won in six games and they do look like relegation contenders. I don’t see them being able to keep Rhodes quiet and with the visitors failing to score in three of their last four games I wouldn’t be confident on them scoring at the other end.

With everything considered I’m fancy a 2-0 or 3-0 home win and was expecting to see Blackburn priced at 1.8x so the even money has to be taken on a side who have won three of their five home games including a 1-0 victory over Watford the last time they were a Ewood Park.
