A number of people are expecting goals in this and both teams to score etc, I am the opposite. Tottenham have only scored nine league goals all season but they’ve kept seven clean sheets. Newcastle although not as tight at the back have kept three clean sheets in the league, including last time out against Chelsea and before that Manchester City couldn’t find a way past them in normal time. If Newcastle can keep it tight at the back like they have in their previous two games then Tottenham will do what they usually do and struggle to score. I wouldn’t be surprised if Newcastle came away from this match with at least a point, due to my goal expectancy being low one goal for the visitors should see them take something, whether they can get that against this defence is another story. The safest play should be Under 2.50 goals which would have brought a profit in nine of Spurs ten games this season.

All the talk this week has been about what Arsenal are going to do. Arsenal are on a great run and have picked up two excellent results in the last two games, most impressively keeping two clean sheets. Arsenal are seemingly keeping clean sheets in the big games whilst letting the likes of Norwich and Sunderland score against them. I however don’t see it in this game. Manchester United are starting to click, led by Wayne Rooney with five goals in his last seven league games and assists in each of his last three. With Manchester United on a run of eight games undefeated in all competitions and starting to play like they know each other I don’t think Arsenal will come to Old Trafford and win. A draw suits both of these teams, but with Arsenal always giving the opposition enough chances to score I cannot see them keeping United out. If United do score then the most likely source is Wayne Rooney in one way or another.
