Liverpool 1.45 v 1.24 West Ham
Liverpool are an improving side and the return of Daniel Sturridge will improve them, however they still currently sit below West Ham in the league after 22 games. I have this game priced up at;
- Liverpool 2.39
- Draw 3.88
- West Ham 3.08
I can make a case for Liverpool to be a little shorter with their improving form and if Daniel Sturridge returns, however I cannot have them as an odds-on shot. 1.70 is too short here for a game that looks like it will be tight.
In the correct score market all the ‘value’ is on the West Ham side of the market, with a 1-0 away victory at 19 (18/1) offering the biggest margin. The most likely score however appears to be 1-1, which at a best price of 9 (8/1) offers some value.
In the Total Goals market the best bet looks to be Under 3.50 Goals at 1.50 (1/2), however under 2.5 and 1.5 both offer theoretical value. As usual Both Teams To Score No also looks a value bet at 2.15.
My money is going on West Ham with a +0.75 (+0.5, +1) Asian Handicap. With this bet I get half my stake back if West Ham are only beaten by one goal.
