This looks to be a match-up between the two French runners and with DOLNIYA beating Flintshire twice already this year she is the bet to have. Flintshire has the experience of the track which will help his chance, but if Dolniya handles the undulations and the camber then she should be able to confirm the Dubai Sheema Classic form. In what should be a steadily run race, it looks like it will be set-up for Dolniya who appears to have the quickest turn of foot.

It’s a shame that this race has fallen apart, with the O’Brien stable having no credible candidate and Zawraq missing the race. The best bit of form in this race is The Dante Stakes, which was won by GOLDEN HORN who had Jack Hobbs and Elm Park behind him. I actually thought that Jack Hobbs would be nearer the 2.25 (5/4) mark, however 2.75 (7/4) is available.

There are question marks over whether he’ll stay the trip but he won well last time and didn’t look like he was stopping at the line. His sire, Cross Cape, sired Sea The Stars and Ouija Board so I don’t think that stamina is going to be an issue. He’s a very relaxed horse, so if he switches off early and handle the track then he’s going to be very tough to beat.
