I want to take the top two in the market on in this. Marking has shown good form, however he still has quirks in the stalls which means you cannot fully trusft him to run his race. Sloane Avenue, appears to be priced up on last years Godolphin Mile, where he finished second, however the form of that race hasn’t worked out well.
I think this race, at the prices, is between COOL COWBOY and Maftol. Maftol beat Cool Cowboy over a mile at Meydan on 18th February, however he only won by half a length. That day Maftol had the plum draw in stall one, whilst Cool Cowboy, who was carrying an extra 1lbs, was drawn in stall eleven.
Cool Cowboy then came out and won on 5th March by over three lengths in a good time of 1m 36.43s, which is quicker than standard. He was drawn three that day, but he backed up his form and proved his class over this distance.
Being drawn eight doesn’t help, he’ll need to brake well and get the luck but we’re being asked to take 8.50 about a horse that I believe should be no more than 5.00.

I wasn’t going to have a bet on this race however VAZIRABAD is a progressive looking horse and already a Group One winner. He has the best draw, stall one, and is going to be really difficult to beat.
I don’t think that Manatee stays the trip, and he’s already held by Vazirabad on the form of their last race at Saint-Cloud. Big Orange is an interesting runner, however I’m not sure he’s a true Group One horse, if Vazirabad is a true top class stayed, like he’s promised to be then this race is there for the taking.

For me X Y JET is the banker of the meeting. On the dirt in America he’s running amazingly quick sectional times from the front and drawn three, he should be able to do the same again here.
The market is saying that Confrontation is his biggest danger, however I think he needs further. I think the trainer also believes that as he hasn’t raced over six furlongs for almost two years.
Muarrab was beaten by Rich Tapestry earlier in the season and last time out Rich Tapestry showed that he wasn’t good enough to win this race, when Muarrab reversed the form.
Super Jockey of interest, he finished second in last years renewal of this race, however his two runs over six furlongs since, both at Shat Tin, have been disappointing. He ran a good race over five furlongs last time out, finishing second to Not Listenin’tome. in general I think that’s a poor form race with Amber Sky, a horse who’s gone completely off the boil a clos up third. He was also receiving nearly a stone from the winner.
I think that X Y Jet has a few pounds in hand of these running from the front end, so I’m very happy to back him at anything above 2.00.

TRYSTER was the star of the English all-weather season backing 2014/15. His electric turn of foot saw him rattle up [check number] of wins in succession. He then switch back to turf and seemingly didn’t enjoy it. He returned to a turf track at Meydan last month and showed that he still possessed that turn of foot. That victory was then backed up last time out when he won and ran the final three furlongs of the Meydan course, quicker than Solow did in the Dubai Turf last year.
It’s a shame that Solow isn’t running in this, due to injury, as we now don’t get the 5.00. However I just don’t see a horse in the race that will be quicker than Tryster in the final third of the race. The only way I see him being beaten is if something gets an easy lead off the front end.
