REMARKABLE went into my horse tracker on the back of his performance in finishing second behind Log Out Island at Newbury last time out. He was the only horse to be closing on the winner , who had led all the way. That’s not the strongest form in the race, but he looks open to plenty of improvement.
Ribchester holds the best from, with his third in the 2000 Guineas behind Galileo Gold. Despite that horse winning yesterday I still have to question what he actually beat in The Classic. Therefore I don’t want to be backing the horses from that race at the moment.

This doesn’t look like a very strong race and even though LADY AURELIA doesn’t have her perfect underfoot conditions, she may just be too quick for these. I don’t think that the ground is as bad as we were expecting, so I suspect we’ll see her try to make all and probably just hold on.

USHERETTE is another horse that’s in my tracker as I think she’s a Group One horse, she’s unbeaten in all three starts this season and beat Group One winners Amazing Maria and Arabian Queen easily last time out. Jazzi Top finished seventh that day and I don’t see why she’ll be able to turn the form around. The biggest danger may be another Godolphin runner in Always Smile, who would have won The Sandringham last year, and still be unbeaten, if she hadn’t hung left. She was a winner of a Listed Race at York on her re-appearance, however I haven’t seen something to make me thing that she is a Group One horse.

This race has been ruined by the rain, logic say to take on A Shin Hikari, but there’s nothing to take him on with. Found was meant to be having a break, yet she ran in The Coronation Cup as an after thought and she again runs in this as an after thought. She’ll run her race, but may not be good enough if this Japanese horse is a top Group One animal. Fascinating Rock would have been a great bet in this race, but he wasn’t entered as the yard decided to give him the mid-season break that was always planned. The Grey Gatsby needs the ground rattling fast to show his best form. Western Hymn has been disappointing all season and My Dream Boat finished fourteen lengths behind A Shin Hikari at Chantilly. That leaves Tryster, who finished third in the Dubai Turf last year. He’s not a top class Group One animal, I’m not having a bet in this race but wouldn’t put anyone off backing him each-way.
