Birmingham v Cardiff

It seems like ages since I’ve had a proper football bet, International breaks really are a slow time. Thankfully we have a decent opportunity to make some money this evening. The league table often lies, but in this case it doesn’t. Only one side in the division has attempted more shots than Cardiff’s 171. No side has managed more than their 63 shots on target. Defensively they’ve only allowed 108 shots against, 4th best in the league. That’s also replicated in the number or shots on target conceded, with Preston the only side to concede fewer than their 31.

Birmingham are nothing special, in fact they’re pretty poor. Only three sides have conceded more than their 163 shots against. Whilst the rest of their shot statistics point to them finishing in the bottom third of the table. As usual, it’s pretty simple. The numbers say back Cardiff at the price and that’s what I’m doing.

  1. Just nowhere near it again. Need to take more context into view rather than this basic goals garbage

    • Thanks for your input James.

      What context would you advise?

I’m all about the long term beating of the market, single results are largely insignificant when I’m only aiming to win around 30% of my bets over several hundred.
